Stylish soprano Emily Haig delights her audiences with her expressive and spellbinding performance and is the sporting industry’s first choice national anthem singer. In 2017 Emily opened the grid for the 2017 Formula 1 Rolex British Grand Prix grid at Silverstone Circuit, which was live broadcast to 400 million people worldwide, and later that year was asked to perform the Italian National Anthem for the Ferrari 70th anniversary Race Weekend, followed by the FIA World Endurance Championships, the UK first leg of the Le Mans racing series. A keen runner and gymnast, Emily is very supportive of women’s sport and performed on two occasions for the Women’s FA Cup Final and in January 2018 for the Vitality International Quad Series Women’s Netball. Further supporting women’s sport, Emily performed the national anthem on 14 March 2018 in advance of the FA WSL Women’s Continental Cup Final. In April Emily performed the Welsh, Scottish and English anthems for the PredictorBet Ice Hockey championships at the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham and supported Northampton Male Voice Choir at their sell-out concert in aid of Pancreas Cancer. Emily’s highlight was on 19 May when she was the matchday anthem vocalist for the second year running on behalf of the Football Association for the prestigious Emirates FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium performing to 89,500 supporters in-stadium and live broadcast on BBC1 and Radio Five Live to 90 million in the rest of the world. The BBC labelled her a “Wembley Institution” and she holds the record for 16 Wembley Stadium anthem performances. In July 2018 Emily performed at the prestigious Grand Prix Ball at the Hurlingham Club, followed by a lunchtime concert, an afternoon tea recital at the glamorous Hartwell House Country Hotel, and finally as featured soloist to rapturous applause at the Cornerstone Music Summer Concert. August has seen Emily performing on stage with the “people’s tenor” Russell Watson in his fabulous Phantom of the Opera medley on the opening night of the Telford 50th anniversary celebrations, and on 25 August she performed again with Russell at a summer proms at Yorkshire Wildlife Park to a 7000 – strong audience. She is delighted to be performing as soprano with the Thursford Christmas Spectacular from October until Christmas and has a concert dinner on 16 December at West Lodge Park, Barnet as part of their quarterly concert series with her pianist Adrian Boynton. Emily will also be performing in 16 of Russell’s concerts in his Canzoni d’Amore autumn tour and will release a Christmas CD in late October, Spirit of Christmas. Emily has a wide classical, Christmas and musical theatre repertoire to perform for corporate, outdoor and gala concert events, including opera dinners and solo concerts. Recent reviews: “We were blown away by your performance. Your voice and your presentation of the wonderful repertoire left us speechless”
